A-4L Skyhawk
We picked up this A-4L from New Century airport in New Century, KS. This aircraft has been on display as you enter the airport property for years. Where it was sitting was a perfect location, but due to lack of funding for the maintenance of the aircraft it was decided that it needed a better home.
The folks from Porterville CA found out about this aircraft and it was awarded to them to be put on display at the Porterville Veterans Memorial building. This aircraft came apart better than expected and was one of the rare ones that still had the engine installed. After carefully removing the engine our fabrication team built an engine stand for it to be on display with the aircraft.
A quick trip across country and we were greeted by the very friendly folks in Porterville. Reassembly went perfect and the aircraft is now on display in the beautiful wooded area next to the memorial building.
